Iris T.

Eddystone, PA

For Iris, earning a GED® credential wasn’t just for herself. It was also for her three children. She wanted them to finish high school and knew the best way to encourage them was to set an example and never give up on her own education.

As a training coordinator, Iris enrolled in the GEDWorks™ program. She even challenged her husband to sign up. And what took only two months to complete is having a lifelong impact on her entire family.

What’s exciting about Iris is that she didn’t stop there. With the help of Walmart’s Lifelong Learning program, she’s currently pursuing an associate degree in psychology and wants to eventually become a marriage counselor.
