David’s main motivation for earning his GED® was to move up in his career.

“I always regretted not finishing high school. I was debating becoming a manager at Walmart but without my GED® it couldn’t happen. Now that I’ve done the work hopefully I can get into management one day.”

David also enjoyed the GEDWorks™ program because it was simple.

“Since everything was provided and paid for by Walmart, they really gave me the chance to pass. It was a good program.”

Besides the support from Walmart, David had a strong support system at home.

“My wife and family helped me through it by always being encouraging and letting me know I could do it.”

Now that David has earned his credential he plans on attending college and moving up to management in his career.
