Brein needed to earn her GED® in order to go to nursing school and take a step forward in her life.
“Earning my GED® was so important to me because in order for me to help people, I had to help myself first.”
Brein’s family was her biggest motivator along her journey.
“They pushed me to achieve my goal. They kept me grounded. They told me to have faith and they kept faith in me and knew I would pass.”
In addition to her family, Brein loved the support from her GEDWorks™ student advisor.
“She stood beside me the whole way. She constantly emailed me to check on me and to wish me good luck. I couldn’t have done this without her.”
Brein has big goals now that she has her credential.
“I want to apply for nursing school and become a registered nurse. But my main career goal is to one day become a pediatric oncologist.
